Dear friends of  JIMS,

we are sorry to announce that JIMS 2009 has to be cancelled! We didn't manage to find enough sponsors this year and the number of applications so far is way below our expectations.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Paid tuition fees will of course be refunded

1. Registration

JIMS is looking for professional and semi-professional musicians.

Registration process:

  • In writing
    Please use the application form to describe
    - your musical background
    - your actual musical activities/your teachers/the bands you have worked or are currently working in
    - your motivation, why you would like to participate at JIMS

  • Music. We require 2 recordings of your music in different styles (also required for composition students)
    You can type in a link where we can listen to your music (ONLY youtube, Myspace or your own homepage). Also let us know the title of your tunes. If you do not have music online, you can send the recordings in Mp3-format (maximum 3 min each) to Peter Herbert: azizamusic@yahoo.com

Letting you know, if you are accepted to the course:
JIMS will confirm bookers by e-mail within 10 days after we received your application. For the early bird rate it is important, that the full tuition fee should be wired no later than March 31st 2009. Final registration date will be July 1st 2009.

Fully booked courses: If a course is fully booked you will be put on the waiting list. We will inform you as soon as someone cancels his application. Maximum number of participants for each course is 12 students.

2. Wiring the fee

Fees for JIMS from July 13th - 18th 2009

Euro 330,– Early bird for registration until March 31st 2009
Euro 340,– Jazzit:Card-owner / ARGEkultur members
Euro 380,– Regular fee

The fee includes the workshop, clinics/masterclasses as well as free entry too all JIMS-concerts
Accomodation and food/drinks are NOT included

Please wire the money only, after you received our e-mail confirming your acceptance!!!

Payment deadlines:
You are required to wire the course fee four weeks after you got our acceptance e-mail, latest

july 8th, otherwise your application will be erased!

You will get a confirmation by e-mail about your transaction.
Wiring from abroad: You have to cover all costs for the wiring if we receive less than the required amount you will be charged upon arrival at JIMS.

Cancellation-fee: 70 Euros if you cancel until July 1st 2009, full fee thereafter.

Cancellation/Disclaimer:
We (JIMS) ask for your understanding, that we keep the right to cancel individual courses or the entire course in case of too little enrollments or due to higher power. JIMS is entitled to hire another teacher on a short notice in case of for instance sickness or other unpredictable circumstances, to make the course happen. In any case we will let you know about any changes immediately. In case, a course has to be cancelled (deadline April 31st 2009) we will reimburse you for the full amount of already paid tuition fees. No further claims will be granted from our side, except in case of severe neglect on our behalf.
